JUNIORS & YOUTH

We on the junior/youth side of the club like to encourage all players to get the most out of their football, have fun while learning all there is about the game and the essence of playing in a team.

Lynn-Avon United is a small club with excellent facilities and an impressive history which gives the club a desirable atmosphere. We make every effort to keep our fees as low as possible in order to keep football as accessible as possible.

We aim to have at least one team in every grade so it is helpful if you register your interest to play at the earliest convenience - that will help the club best organise the teams. Teams can be mixed where numbers don't allow for separate girls & boys teams.

UNIFORM

• Red Club Strip (shirt) - This will be provided by the club for your child to borrow for the season and is to be returned at the conclusion of the season.
• Boots and Shinguards - Please provide your own football boots (no metal sprigs) and shinguards. Available from any reputable sportshop.

GAME DAY

Games are 5-aside and 50 minutes long (consisting of 2 x 25 minute halves).
Most games will be played at Ken Maunder Park on Saturday mornings (time tbc) with Anderson Park and Olympic Park as alternate venues throughout season (to be scheduled).

10th Grade - 17th Grade
Games will be played on Saturdays against another clubs team, either at home (Ken Maunder), or away at the oppositions grounds somewhere else in Auckland. Draws are available online and will be relayed by each teams Manager.
(Usually the younger teams play earlier in the day and the older teams later, for example 9th grade at 9 or 10am up to 14th grade at 1pm, this is not a given just a guide).

TRAINING

Club night is Thursday nights with training starting at 5.30 or 6.30pm at our home ground of Ken Maunder Park. Most teams will train at Ken Maunder on this night but if that day and time doesn't suit a particular team they are welcome to decide on another night. Teams can also decide to do additional trainings at our grounds if they want to.

AGES & GRADES

What grade is my child in?
Players are put in grades according to age; for example, a player who turned or will turn 10 in this calendar year (January 1st - December 31st) is put in an 10th grade team (where all players are therefore aged 9 or 10).​

REGISTRATION & FEES

Registrations are now open for the 2026 Winter Season.

Please click the "Register Now" button to sign up. We have moved to a new registration platform this year, so all members will need to complete the full form. Please ensure all details are entered correctly, especially birth dates.

Junior and youth fees are due at the time of registration. As a volunteer-run club, following up on unpaid balances takes a significant amount of time and effort so paying upon registration lightens the load for us.

However we do not want this to be a barrier to people playing football so if you would like to set up a payment plan, please feel free to contact us directly and we are happy to arrange this with you.
