Women's football at Lynn-Avon United has a very strong and proud history with a number of players having played or playing representative football. We have spaces available for U15 and U17 Girls, these teams are very well coached and Lynn-Avon can provide a path way through these teams for girls wanting to move to women reserves team and ultimately our Premier women's team. 2008 FOOTBALL SEASON
The
2008 football season is upon us, for those members returning in 2008 you
will receive a mail out from the club with details of registration and
other relevant dates late January early February.
If you are
visiting our web site out of interest or directed here from one of our
road side signs, please browse our site, below are details for mail
registration.
Lynn-Avon soccer club prides itself as being the
friendliest club in the west and welcomes all new members. It is
important that we know numbers of players so that we can ensure we have
enough coaches and managers – so registration is a vital part of the
pre-season planning.

YOUTH/JUNIOR NEWSLETTERSoccer
season may seem ages away, but to ensure that the season is a
successful one in terms of administration, we must get going now. It is
important that we know numbers of players so that we can ensure we have
enough coaches, managers and players to make team numbers - so
registration is a vital part of the pre-season planning.
Please
make note of the registration night dates. If you have any queries
please feel free to phone any one of the committee members on the back
of this newsletter.
REGISTRATION NIGHTS will be held at the Ken Maunder Clubrooms, Binstead Rd, New Lynn on:
Monday 4th February 6-8pm
Tuesday 5th February 6-8pm
It
is preferable that fees be paid on registration. Instalment payments
are acceptable - please discuss this with a committee member at time of
registration - please note if paying by instalment it is important to
keep all receipts.
The new fee structure is outlined below - family discounts still apply.
Fees for 2008 are:
$40 - Little League (3yrs - 7yrs inclusive)
$55 - Junior (8th - 10th grade inclusive)
$85 - Youth (11th -17th grade)
Additional family member fees are,
Junior - $45
Youth - $70
Cheques are to be payable to Lynn-Avon United Association Football Club.
WE REQUEST THAT ALL FEES BE PAID BY 5th APRIL.
If you cannot make registration night it is important to let us know so we can include your name on the team lists.
TRIAL NIGHTS
These will be held February - March . Players in grades requiring trials, will be advised by their coaches of dates and times.
CLUB
DAY will be on Sunday 30
th March . This will provide an opportunity to pay fees,
purchase new socks, shorts, shin pads and boots as well as take part in
a fun game of soccer. Eftpos is available on this day only. So pop this
date into your diary. Further information will follow.
URGENT COACHES/ MANAGERS & COMMITTEE MEMBERS REQUIRED
As
always we require your contributions in theses areas. If you quietly
(or maybe more vociferously) thought that the running of the Junior
Club needed improving last year then how about giving us a hand this
season. The Junior Committee is seriously short on numbers and the more
people on board the easier it is to share the workload - it's fun too
and we'll even feed you choccy biscuits at the monthly meetings!!! New
Coaches are definitely needed this season; if you've played soccer
before but never coached why not step forward, it's a rewarding
experience and the Committee will provide you with heaps of support and
information - GIVE IT A GO.
